The visionary behind DS Designs.
Dev Sharma initiated Dev Sharma Designs in June of 2023 at 16 years of age. All he had since childhood was a needle and thread with a vast imagination, ready to piece the world around him into a piece of art.
Dev's Story
There was never a definite start or end to Dev's story, as each day was a new beginning for him. Each morning he would wake up to the comforting scent of his father's ginger chai, prompting him to return to his workstation on his family room carpet. With the blocks, fabric, paper, boxes, and other supplies he found laying around the house, Dev independently explored new realms through his own innovative projects that pulled concepts from Architecture, Civil Engineering, creative writing, and--most importantly--clothing design.

Dev explored the art of crafting miniature Indian designs for his sister's doll alongside his various other interests by using supplies he found around his house, such as fabric scraps he collected in a box.
Upon moving to a new house while growing up, Dev finally challenged his introverted tendencies of hiding his passion for clothing design with his first Instagram account, Creations by Dev Sharma.
Due to shifting interests into Architecture and other forms of design alongside overwhelming responsibilities in high school, Dev uploaded his last design for Creations by Dev Sharma.
From noticing common struggles related to size-inclusivity in traditional Indian design in and out of home, Dev revived his fervor for clothing design with DS Designs to reverse the underrepresentation of diverse demographics, making them the "new face of Indian fashion."
Despite a year of consistently unsuccessful efforts in connecting and working with dozens of tailors, manufacturers, and designers, Dev retains his ambition to launch DS Designs.
Dev launches the first collection of DS Designs in partnership with tailors, manufacturers, and material sourcers abroad.
